Description of logo

This image is the Council’s logo and represents the connection between community and government - illustrating the Council’s role as a link between community and government.

It consists of two interlocking puzzle pieces – one piece is coloured a deep red and the other is transparent with a navy blue outline.

Background

In 2009, as part of the Building a Better Council project, the Council worked on improving its profile and branding. A new logo was needed to better reflect the Council’s role and increase awareness of the Council.

In 2010 a logo competition was held. People with disability were asked to design a new logo with the chance of winning the major prize of $250.00.

Mr David Crocker was the winning entrant. The Council sincerely thanks David for his efforts in designing our logo.

David described the symbol as representing a connection between community and government - illustrating the Council’s role as a link between community and government.
