Mr Peter Batini

With a background and educational qualifications in Clinical Psychology, Peter brings to Council a wealth of experience in, and vast knowledge of the disability sector. His professional qualifications (including as a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors), when combined with his general management and professional experience will enable him to perform a key role within the Council in an efficient, effective, innovative and empathic manner.

He has been involved in disability service management at a senior level since 1987 and has over 14 years’ experience as an Executive Director. He has also undertaken roles of senior Clinical Psychologist and Chief Clinical Psychologist of the Disability Services Commission. His forty years of experience within the human services in both government and non-government services developed a depth and breadth of experience working with people with disabilities, their families and carers.

With a Churchill Fellowship, he studied service development, project leadership, strategic planning and the development of community based options for people with a disability in the USA. He has a broad knowledge of disability services at a local, state, national and international level.
