Ms Stephanie (Steph) COATES

1st Term: 1/1/2017 – 31/12/2018

Ms Stephanie Coates represents service provision from two perspectives.

As a Senior Occupational Therapist at the State Rehabilitation Service located at Fiona Stanley Hospital, Steph has insider knowledge of therapy treatments and the health system that provides services to people with spinal cord injuries and Spina Bifida. During her career in OT, she has also worked in the Acute Medical Unit at RPH and in the Spinal Unit when it was located at Shenton Park.

Steph also represents local government from her position as the Deputy Mayor of the City of Bayswater. Local government is a major provider of accessible community facilities, functions, programs and services that enhance the lives and wellbeing of community members of all abilities. Her involvement in local government has included membership of various committees including the Local Area Emergency Management Committee, the Aged Care Governance Committee, the Disability Access and Inclusion Plan Advisory Committee and the Community Events Advisory Committee.

Both aspects of Steph’s knowledge and experience will provide invaluable insight to several key areas of life for people who live with physical, sensory and intellectual restrictions.
